  UNIT ON GROWTH & CHANGE

Over the course of the next month, we will explore a thematic unit on growth & change. Not only will students have the opportunity to investigate this concept through literature and poetry, but they will examine changes within themselves and make connections to the world around them. Students will examine various short stories and poetry; as well as read the novel The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. All in all, this is sure to be a fun unit with plenty of opportunities for questioning, exploration, discovery, and growth!

  Make sure to check the calendar for information regarding

 tests, quizzes, projects, and homework!

  Often in class you will receive a "Word of the Day."

Please use the flashcards below to review your various words.

 Also, keep in mind that you each have to read ONE independent reading

book per marking period and must complete ONE project or activity based on this book.
