The one thing I tried to teach you,

Is to know that you are special

Just because you are YOU!

        Where did the time go? I would like to thank everyone for making this a wonderful year. I am so proud of my students. They learned so much this year in Reading, Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and even Spanish. It is amazing how much fun you could have while learning so much.

        I encourage all the children to read for at least fifteen minutes everyday over the summer and to practice addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts. 

        I would like to thank my class parents and art parents for all their help this year. Our class really appreciates all the time and effort you put in to help make this year a great success! Our class really enjoyed having you.

         Thank you for entrusting me with your children. I loved having them in my class. Lots of luck in fourth grade!

Homework Tips for Families

• Set up a quiet, well-lit study area.
• Schedule and enforce daily homework time.
• Create a box of supplies needed for homework.
• Encourage your child to work independently.
• Check to see that homework is completed.
• Establish a spot for depositing completed work to be returned to school.
  

       Our third grade team is excited to report that we have developed a third grade website, on Portaportal to develop technology skills and enhance learning across the curriculum.   With portaportal.com, third graders will be able to log on to the activities that are a reinforcement and extension of our classroom lessons.

            The activities on portaportal.com are interactive and curriculum-based lessons.   Please feel free to explore the Portaportal resources.   These lessons can be accessed from home computers connected to the Internet.
