Welcome to Miss Corsaro's First Grade Class
Welcome to Room 25! I am so excited for this school year! Your child and I will have a terrific year! Here are a few things to keep in mind.
First Grade is an important year in a student’s life.
First grade is all about patterns, practice, and repetition.
Patterns in math, in reading, in words…everywhere!
We will learn new skills and revisit old skills.
Even if something has been previously learned, there are always new ways to look at old information.
There is always something to be learned and practiced, even if it seems trivial.
Good habits need to be taught and practiced now.
Good study habits at home and at school will make your child’s career easier for everyone.
This is your child’s foundation to become a lifelong learner.
We want your child to feel successful.
We want your child to be challenged and to come out on top!
Together, we can have a great year!

It is the child’s responsibility to hand in any homework or parent notes AND it is their responsibility to pack their bags each day.
Continue this responsibility at home; it will help them remember it at school.
I am truly impressed with how far they have come already.
I am proud of them and more importantly, they are proud of themselves.
Welcome to first grade!!!
