JUMP ROPE
FOR HEART!
You did an awesome job and raised more than $11,000! You should be very proud!
Go Rhino Readers!
Please keep track of your nightly minutes in your assignment pad and have a parent or guardian initial in there. You then just have to tally at the end of each week, and we save lots of paper! If you want to use the old chart, I have attached it in the file section of the website. Remember try to read AT LEAST 30 minutes each night!

Our Character trait of the month is...
TRUSTWORTHINESS!
Language Arts
This week we will be reading "Snowflake Bentley" and writing simile and metaphor poetry about snowflakes and snow! We will also publish our stories and essays about imaginary friends. You all did great work on your "Take a Stand, Leave a Stamp" book projects! We will have a grammar quiz, reading assessment, and spelling test this Thursday and Friday.
Math
We are starting Unit 6! In this unit you will learn long division and all about angles - how to draw, measure, and classify them!
Social Studies
We will now begin UNIT 3: "Exploration to Early Statehood". In this unit, we will learn about the growth of our state and country throughout the 1800s, 1900s, and even to today. We will cover such important events as the Civil War, European immigration, World War I, the Great Depression, World War II, and Civil Rights. Throughout the unit, we will read plays to better understand these important events that shaped our country.
Science
We are continuing with our weather unit, and we're finishing up Chapter 2: OBSERVING WEATHER this week with a quick quiz on Tuesday. We will review in class on Monday. We will then move onto Chapter 3: Weather Patterns. In this chapter, we will learn ways to predict the weather by studying the different types of clouds and creating weather maps to follow fronts. We will finish up our unit on weather sometime in early March. We will then move on to MAGNETISM & ELECTRICITY!

Important Message from Mrs. LoBue
The activities listed on this webpage are subject to change throughout the school week. The homework is changed each day and will be posted by 3:30 each day, with exceptions being if there is internet trouble, power outages, or circumstances out of my control. Nothing takes the place of the students being present in class, paying attention, asking questions, and following directions. Students are responsible for writing down their homework each night and this website is to be used for clarification purposes or if a student is absent. Have a wonderful day and thanks for viewing our class webpage!!
