Hope everyone is having a good Summer! Coming soon to
NJPAC is the Youth Theater production of Sweeney Todd. You can find info here at:
or the
NJPAC site. I was thinking of organizing a field trip to see the show on Sunday July 26th. I would not be getting a bus, but we could meet at the theater and get seats together. I am looking to get Balcony seats. If you would like me to get a ticket for you, I will. You can pay me back at the play. If you would like to go on your own, you can find dates and times at either website discussed above. I also received a You Tube video from Carey
Gsell who is in the performance. It is a great way to become familiar with the Marching Band show for this year, but it is also a great show. Good story and good music. I want to get tickets next Friday, July 10th. If interested, please let me know how many tickets you would like. Parents and siblings are more than welcome. The tickets are either $25 or $35 and child tickets are $16. Please let me know ASAP. Thanks!

Just wanted to take an opportunity to thank everyone for a great year. All the ensembles should be very proud of their accomplishments in this year's music program. Also, thanks to all that come to and in every way support our program. We cannot be this successful without you.
Now I have put a sheet in the files section that is an updated list of private teachers in the area. If you are taking, or have taken private lessons, please check the sheet and see if your teacher is on it. If they are, please confirm that I have their correct contact info. Some of my numbers and email addresses may be old. If your teacher is not on the list, please send me an email with their name, what instrument they teach and at least one piece of contact info. I am going to be compiling a big list with plenty of teachers for all types of personalities and instruments. Thanks and have a great summer!
PS - Anna Katznelsons's phone number was incorrect on the sheet I sent home. I have corrected it in the files section and will be adding more names as I get them. Thanks!

Hey guys a few things here. First of all, the main office left a page out of the Athletic packet that you will need. You can pick it up in the main office or if you are getting the
FREE
PHYSICAL offered at
GRHS on the 16th for
Jrs and
Srs and the 18th for frosh and sophomores you will be given one there.
Please consider the free physical. It is, well free, and the people running it know what is necessary for these packets. It is quick, and no one has to wait for a Dr. to be in.
Anyone that needs to return a Marching Band Uniform, please do so on Thursday, June 4th. I will be collecting them after school so please plan accordingly. People from Memorial Day, you will be returning a jacket and pants on hanger, and a shako and hat box. Senior members or non-returning members, you will also be returning your rain jacket and gloves. If you have any other parts of uniforms, or are interested in donating your Dinkles, that would be great. Do not forget, June 4th after school is the uniform return.
The Athletic packets are due to me by June 23rd. Everything must be filled in and have signatures. Each year, we run into problems with these packets because they are not turned in before the summer. The main issue is that the people that need to check the packets and clear you for your activity are 10 month employees. If they are not around in the summer, you cannot be cleared. each year, I end up in some type of (minor) battle with the administration because people handed in their packets late. I have already received one this year! Please get your paperwork in before June 23rd as it will make all of our lives just a little easier. Thanks!

In the files section, I have put a flyer for the GRMPA Performing Arts Academy. This is a summer program that has been run for years and is a great way to keep yourself playing during the summer!
We offer many different classes from brass, to woodwind, percussion, and Guitar. If you have any questions about the music part of the camp, please contact me. If you have financial questions, please contact Robert Low. His number is on the brochure. The camp runs 5 weeks, but you can come for as long ort as little as you can. Please check out the brochure and I hope to see you in the summer!

Greetings all and welcome to the 2009 7th & 8th Grade Concert Band! I have sent emails home to all 7th & 8th Grade Concert Band members.
This email list is very important to find out about events, HW, and other happenings in the band class. If you would like your email taken off this list or have another email address you would like to add to this list, please let me know and I will make sure to do so.
If you did not receive an email, please let me know and I will add you to the list.
If you have any questions throughout the year, please try to contact me through email. It is generally the easiest way to reach me. My voice mail extension is at the bottom as well. I do update it often. Anything posted on the voice mail, will also be on the web site and will generally be sent home in an email as well. Hope all have had a great start to the year.
I am certainly looking forward to it!

Welcome Back!!!!
We have started another year.
Please check this website for information:
Click on the “Files” button.
The files in this section will include a weekly schedule updated, well, weekly, a lesson schedule and a schedule of groups for those lessons, and a ton of other information that will keep you informed about what is going on in the classroom.
Also, please keep my email available:
klagos@glenridge.org
The web site and email are the two biggest ways that I deal with communication throughout the year.
Thanks for your time and feel free to ask any questions that you may have.
I am looking forward to a great year.
Thanks!
Check out the links section for a Sophia's link. Sophia Anastasia is a local flute player that has come to our school in the past and spoke to our flute players with techniques that help them improve. Her website has concert schedules, music, and information for better musicianship. Thanks for checking it out!
Below you will find many helpful items such as a calendar with all student dates including outside performances by students and staff, a list of vocabulary words students will be required to know for exams (for real this year), web links to important (and not so important) sites involving music and other interesting information. If you have any dates you would like to be added to the calendar, please send an email to:
klagos@glenridge.org
I will add the dates to the calendar so all can see. Thanks for checking out the page, and check back often for updated information.
