2. Study vocabulary for fifteen minutes.
3. Bring in a photograph of an important place in your life. Make
sure your name is on the back of the photograph.
4. Rhino Reading begins! Count minutes in the calendar portion of
your assignment pad.
5. My homeroom only: picture day tomorrow!

1. Vocabulary: Syn/Ant (pg.25).
2. Study vocabulary words for five minutes.

WEDNESDAY (day 1)

3. Bring in a fun book to free read. I will be meeting with each
student individually to discuss their writing at this time.
FRIDAY
Based on my comments, TYPE the first draft of your essay, using
MLA format. This is due on TUESDAY.
Week of September 8-11
TUESDAY
Bring a book from home and be prepared to explain, in one minute or less,
why it is so important to you. (It might just be that you like the story, or maybe it
has some other significance.)
If you have a particular book in mind but don’t have a
copy, go to Amazon and print the cover instead.
Come to Langauge Arts tomorrow with a 3-section spiral notebook and
black-and-white journal.
And when your parents ask you what you did in school today, DESCRIBE YOUR DAY
IN DETAIL!!!
Also, I suggested the students print out a copy of their schedule
to tape inside their locker. The file can be found in the "files"
section of this webpage.
