Welcome back!  I hope that you all had a great summer vacation.  I look forward to starting the new school year and getting to know each of you as the weeks go by.

What is going on now. 

-Students will begin this year by learning about Political Systems and how they help maintain control in society.

-Students will learn how the environment caused civilization to emerge

- Students will explore modern day countries and the types of governments that run those countries today.  How did early governments in the ancient world affect the modern nations like North Korea, China, and Sudan?

- Students will completer interactive group projects like mobiles and skits to demonstrate they understand the concepts we cover in class.

-Students will be able to bridge the past and the present by covering such topics as the upcoming presidential election.
