Dear Parents,

This year should be very exciting, I am looking forward to working with each and every child. During the school year we will be reading from novels, text books and outside resources. We will be writing on a daily basis as well.  Students will have an opportunity to work in groups, complete their choice of projects and express themselves in various ways. I will keep text books in the classroom and your child will be able to take them home if needed.

I would like to ask for your help this year in encouraging your child to come to class prepared. He/she will always need something to write with, notebook, and any homework due. With your help I know this will not be a problem and I would like to thank you in advance for your cooperation.  The homework will normally be posted on this webpage. I will also put copies of projects and worksheets on this page. You should also check for test dates and/or project dates.

As always, please feel free to contact me with any concerns. At the top of this page is an email link. If you click on the link you can send me an email and I will respond as quickly as possible. You may also sign up to recieve an email everytime I update this page. You can also contact the school and I will call you at my earliest convenience.  I will always do my best to ensure your child feels safe in my classroom and also has a voice.  Again, if your child is having trouble in a class or there is a problem I may be able to help with, please contact me. Thank you for your help.

PARENTS!!!!! These are the books that we'll be reading during the year. I encourage you to buy them for your children, it will make life easier for them in the classroom. They can write in the book, take notes, highlight things, etc...

Feb. 3-6

 We are working on presenting in class. You need to have all your materials ready to go, I'll make copies. Also you have to have the lesson done before you teach and be PREPARED!!!!

Period 3/4                  Feb 3-6

 The first presentation was a HOT one!!! I know we will all do great so make sure that you are ready to go. This is serious business and we must be prepared. Make sure you are ready, you may be up next.  No WORD WALL this week 3/6/09

Period 8/9                   Feb. 3-6

We are working on projects still. We are in the computer lab at the begining of the week and then we'll start presenting. Make sure your work is error free and it looks nice. You must be prepared and you must know what you are talking about. I can't wait to see them, I'm excited
