Beginning at 9:00 I will go over the process of Scholarships and how to apply for them. Applications will be available for those who have not picked them up yet. We will then move into Financial Aid and completeing the FAFSA. There will be financial aid experts from Grayson County College available to answer questions and computers available to complete your FAFSA after the presentation. You will need to bring the following items to complete the FAFSA:
Students and Parents documentation includes:

Driver's license and Social Security card;
-
W-2 forms and other records of money earned in 2009;
-
2009 U.S. income tax return (IRS Form 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, or 1040TEL);
-
Records of untaxed income, such as welfare, Social Security, or verterans benefits;
-
Current bank statements;
-
Business and farn records; and
-
Stocks, bonds, and other investment records.
SAT/ACT
Juniors and Seniors need to be sure and register for the ACT and SAT if they haven't already done so. To register for the ACT go to www.actstudent.org and for the SAT www.collegeboard.com.

The following website is a wonderful resource for students especially Juniors and Seniors. http://texasscholars.lifeafterhighschool.org Go to the Partners section at the bottom of the page. Select Career Development Resources. On the left of the screen go down until you see Reality Check-Texas Budget Calculator. This is a great way for students to see how expensive it really is to live in the real world. You can also go to the OSCAR section for an excellent resource for career.
