Discoverer database is available to all FCA students, both at school and at home with the use of a special access code. This code is now available and only visible to FCA students while they or their parents are logged into Edline. Students are trained in the use of this database that includes carefully selected full-text articles from over 1,600 newspapers, magazines and government documents. Articles range in reading levels from Easy(1st-4th grade) to Challenging(8th grade and above). Also included is a multi-volume 26,000-article Encyclopedia, The World Almanac for Kids, Maps of the World, a thesaurus, dictionary, and Web links to age-appropriate Internet resources. We hope that this reference database will continue to help our students develop their research, writing, language and computer skills.
We encourage both students and parents to browse this resource and see what is available by logging onto Edline and clicking on the Media Center link under "Contents". The codes are located to the left on the Media Center page. Discoverer can also be accessed on this website by clicking on the menu to the left. Once you have logged into Discoverer on your computer, you will not have to log in again as long as you are using the same computer.
As this web page loads, you will hear our students singing during one of our morning chapel periods. Another song selection can be heard when the Calendar page is opened. Make sure you have your speakers turned on and the volume turned up to hear these songs.

Florida College Academy is where your child can achieve their highest academic goals in a Bible-based, safe and caring environment. FCA is where every child is a unique part of our school family.
Florida College Academy has received accreditation from the Florida Council of Independent Schools and the Florida Kindergarten Council since 1997. In June of 2007, we had our 2nd 5-year evaluation and were granted continued accreditation for the next five years. The Florida Council of Independent Schools was established in 1954 to set high standards for quality elementary and secondary nonpublic education. It assures, through the accreditation process, that member schools maintain those high standards and independence in the areas of administration and academic programs.
Below are some of the comments made by the accreditation committee:
Students at Florida College Academy enjoy a safe, relaxed and pleasurable environment. When asked the question, "what do you like best about FCA?", the answers consistently were "the teachers, sports and friends". Clearly, students take pride in their school and understand the importance of academics. Students observed were well behaved, respectful, courteous and kind. They enjoy an easy rapport with most teachers and benefit from a close working relationship.
The interaction among students in differing grade levels affirms the respect and admiration all students have for each other.
"Reward" field trips offer positive incentive to Jr. High students and are well received and attended.
Great emphasis is placed on the student's character values and spirituality as well as on academic preparation.
The diversity of the student body is one of FCA's greatest assets.
The student body of FCA is commended for the polite and respectful way they treat the staff and each other, and for their obvious contentment in being there.
The staff is highly motivated with a positive and responsive attitude toward students and their parents. This is a warm, friendly school family.
