Weekly Homework:    

100 Book Challenge:  You need to read 2 steps (30 minutes) each night.  An adult must initial your log.

Mondays - 1)Cut, sort, and write spelling/word sort words

          2)Comprehension sheet A

Tuesdays -

             1)Put each word sort category in ABC order. 

              Example:   ay        aCe       short a

                         bay       came      fat

                         say       lame       mat

                         tray       tame      sat
Wednesdays - 

              1)Write 10 sentences using your spelling/word sort words.

              2)Comprehension sheet B

Thursdays -

              1)Buddy/writing sort - Write the word sort headers (for example, "ay", "aCe", and "short a").  Then, have an adult 

                  or other homework helper say each word as you write it under the correct word sort heading.   For example, an adult 

                  reads the word "bay" and you write the word under the "ay" heading.

              2)Study for your spelling test.  (Remember:  If the buddy/writing sort was difficult for you, you need to practice some

                  more.  Your test will be just like it!)
