Dear Parents,
Thank you for helping your child with100 Book Challenge.
This week we are going to continue reading every night for 15 minutes (1 step).
I am sending home the Math Home Links. Please keep it in a safe place, As I assign each page, please tear it out of the book and glue or staple it on a page in ta marble cober notebook. This will keep our assignments in order. Please return just the notebook with your child's work, Keep the Home Links book at home.
Coming home also, is the Phonic's Library booklets for practice reading at home. We have them in our classroom too!
GO OVER HIGH FREQUENCY WORDS!
Below is the additional homework for the week:
Monday- Complete home Link 1.8.
Tuesday- Complete home Link 1.9.
Wednesday- Complete home Link 1.10.
Thursday- Complete Home Link 1.12.
We will be going to Woodland Ave. park on tuesday. Please wear a hat and appropriate outdoor clothing suitable for the weather.

Dear Parents,
We hope that you had a safe and happy summer and are just as excited as we are to begin a new school year! We are confident that first grade will be a positive learning experience for your child.
It would be helpful if your child brings in the following supplies beginning on Friday, September 8, 2006.
Supplies requested:
- 1 backpack or bookbag to carry books and papers between school and home (please label this with your child's name)
- An old clean sock
- 1 large box of tissues
- 1 box of snacks such as mini-cookies, pretzels, or crackers
- a smock for art
- 1 container of pump-soap for hand washing (boys only)
- 1 container of hand sanitizer (Purell for example-girls only)
- 1 box of thick markers
- 1 box of colored pencils -already sharpened please!
- 2 durable pocket folders
- 2 glue sticks
- 1 thick yellow highlighter
- 2 black marble copy books
- 1 box of Ticonderoga #2 pencils
- 1 roll of paper towels
- 1 box of gallon-sized zip lock bags (girls)
- 1 container of Clorox wipes (boys)
Please mark your child's supplies clearly with their name. If you have already purchased additional supplies,
please keep them at home. They may be useful for home assignments. We expect all su[pplies to be brought to school no later then Additional supplies may be asked for later this year.
We look forward to meeting you on Curriculum NighT (September 111th from 7:00-8:00.)
