8th Grade

This week students will present a soundtrack for The Contender by Robert Lipsyte, complete thier writing portfolio review, and take their final exam

Word Study (Spelling) - We do a word study each week on five words. Please refer to the green sheet in your binder for the specific procedure that we follow for learning the words. Word Studies are due every Wednesday. Your word study will be graded based on proof that you followed the procedure!
***Beginning Week #23...All words must apply to the spelling rule that we have learned that week.

Home Reading- All homereading assignments for the year are complete. From May 19 through June 3rd students will read one to two chapter per night from The Contender by Robert Lipsyte. Students may not read ahead, but they can have an additional book that they selected to read at home.
