  Welcome to PARKSIDE PTL 

October, 2008

 

Fire Prevention Week is October 6th through October 10th, so start praticing Stop, Drop and Roll.

Picture Day is October 10th, so make sure those little ones are dressed up, teeth brushed and hair combed.  Progress Reports will be mailed.

Columbus Day is on October 13th and to celebrate there will be no school for the kids but an In-Service Day for our dedicated staff.

Our annual Joint PTL Meeting will be on October 14th @ 6:30 p.m. and housed in the Sun Valley High School.

Hooray!  The Scholastic Book Fair is October 14th through 16th.  A schedule of class times has been sent home. 

Halloween Bingo is on October 17th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Parkside Elementary Mutli-Purpose Room.  This is a dress to impress events for all ghouls, goblins, princesses, pirates and other fantasy creatures.

School Board Study Session is on October 21th @ 8:00 p.m. and the School Board Meeting is October 28th @ 8:00 a.m. in the transporation center.

October 22nd, we will have our Halloween Safety Assembly @ 2:30 p.m.  The Parkside Borough Meeting is on that same date @ 7:00 p.m.

Red Ribbon Week is October 20th through October 24th, so make sure you have your crazy hats, silly socks and spiritwear at the ready.

Don't forget to collect those General Mills Box Tops during the Summer, the classrooms will be running a contest starting in September for a class prize.

 Volunteers are needed for Market
Day and other PTL things!  Contact us if you can help and we promise to release you as soon as you are finished.

 

    

Market Day is an ongoing fundraiser for our school.  Please note that you can make your purchases either through the flyer sent home or by ordering online and that each purchase you make is not only delicious but enables your PTL to continue all the programs that make our children's school experience so special.
