I would like to thank all the students and parents for all their support this year.  It is what makes the difference in your child's education.  Good Luck to all of you.  It has been a pleasure to have had a part in your child's life.  Please enjoy a great summer!!

Please note:  If your child is attending mandatory help class please be very attentive to their binder and check classpage or edline so that you can see that they are doing their assignments.  it is very hard to help those who come with none of their assignments done.  Thank-you.

Welcome to (Delta) American Studies I

Mrs. Blaschak-Room 408

Any students that are honoring a religious holiday (from any religion) are automatically excused from any assignments that day and have extended time to do their work or take a quiz.  In the case of the winter holiday since it is almost a 2 week holiday homework would still be required upon return since Christmas is celebrated on one day and New Year's another ( with more than these two days involved.)

Check Calendar for due dates, quizzes, tests, special events, and projects.

Please check this page every night for assignments, special announcements, and the calendar.

Please use this along with edline/parent portal.  Check both calendars.

The first section of each student's binder will be the INTRO section.  Please check this for all course information (includes course description, course requirements, grading, class procedure.)  It is important to refresh this information every marking period.  It will be kept in the binder all year.  You will receive a homework grade for every written homework assignment and it will be checked every day. It is part of our class and if it is not done it will be difficult for you to participate.

Grades will be entered every Thursday if there are new ones.  A * designates that an assignment is outstanding (to be finished.)  If an assignment receives a 0 it designates that the assignment was not done and time has expired for it to be turned in.

Special Notice:  Check out file #1 for Notebook (binder) Arrangement-please have it ready to assemble the 2nd day of school.

Homeroom 408-every student must bring one box of tissues per semester for the room.  Thank-you in advance.

To reach me call by phone call 610-359-4320 (extension 3588.) You may email me at jblaschak@mnsd.org

Please check this website for daily homework assignments.

Help class is always available.  Please encourage your child to seek help if needed. They just ask me for a help pass. My Help Classes are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 a.m.  I can schedule emergency help class when requested. I also will have help class after school when needed.

Please note-all textbooks are to be at home in a safe spot.  They are not to be brought to school.  We have classroom sets of textbooks. They will return their textbook at the end of the year.

All classes-please note attached Course Outline File.

Homeroom students please bring one box of tissues each semester

I will be placing the number of the homework  (for your binder) after each assignment.

Check out File #1 for how to organize your notebook

One notebook with 6 dividers is required for this course.  It must be separate from any other course.
