Reading  6                                 This year we will be reading a variety of literaure.  We will also be using various computer programs a few times a week.  In addition, you will have Sustained Silent    Reading every Friday. You will want to choose a book that you are interested in since you  will be spending so much time reading.  You will be required to bring this book with you to class every week.  You will also be responsible for reading 5 books OUTSIDE of class.     This book will be the same book you will read every Friday during SSR.  After you read each   book, you will complete a project.  The due dates are listed in the calendar section.  More details will be given closer to the dates.                                                                                                     School Supplies                           You need a folder (for reading only). a separate binder with                         looseleaf (for reading and English only) , a pen or pencil, highlighters, and your agenda.                          You should also have your SSR book in class daily.                                                                                                                                                 Homework                           You are required to read, Monday through Thursday,                          for a minimum of  20 minutes a night in your SSR book.                                                                                                    1.  Read for 20 minutes a night, Monday through Thursday.                                                                                                    2.   Have an SSR book by Friday.                                                                                                    3.  The first reading project is due 10/24.
