A little bit about the program:

The Worrall Music Program provides each student with:
1. A Well-Rounded Musical Experience.
I have the pleasure of seeing all the wonderful Worrall students at least once a week for music class.  The Worrall Music Program provides a well-rounded musical experience for our K-5 students.  Your children are given the opportunity to develop listening skills, play music on various percussion instruments, develop theater and acting ability, compose music with notation and improvisation, and sing a multitude of songs and styles of music.  

2. An Introduction To The Musical Elements And Components.
Topics that are covered in the K-5 program are: rhythm notation- recognition and writing, note reading -notes on the staff, orchestral and non-traditional instruments, music history, electronic music, science of sound, tempo, pitch, volume, form,  etc.

3. Interesting Projects That Are Influenced By The Students Themselves In Make-Up And Are Student Driven.
While music has existed since the beginning of mankind and the history of music is essential for educated students to understand, the Worrall Music Program remains up to date incorporating contemporary themes, songs,  musical groups, and current events.  

4. Performance Opportunities.
In painting, sculpting, literature, and other arts the end result is tangible.  A painter produces a painting, an author crafts a poem, in music we have a performance.  Once a child has mastered a lesson, it becomes performance worthy.  The Worrall Elementary Music Program provides your child with many performance opportunities at all grade levels.  Performing, whether it be acting, reciting lines, or singing, helps build confidence is a child's abilities and self-esteem.  A student who successfully performs in a musical or a play may find an oral presentation in academic subjects to be easier.

The Worrall Music Program meets the ability level of every student.  Every student who participates is successful!
