2:00-2:15 Recess

2:15 - 3:15 Science - King

What the program is all about:

• Primary language instruction in language arts
• Math instruction in English only
• Science instruction in Spanish only
• Language of the day for basic classroom communication in English and Spanish
• Bilingual partners develop language and increase the second language

Goals for the Dual Language Program:

• Academic achievement
• Biligualism and biliteracy
• High self esteem and a sense of identity
• Cultural awareness and understanding
• Cooperative problem solving

Children enrolled in the dual language program will continue learning in English and Spanish through 5th grade.
