Hello, my name is Jennifer Lisle and this is my husband, John.  I have been a teacher for 13 years, in Toppenish and Yakima.  I enjoy hiking, swimming, camping and reading.  In my spare time, I am a volunteer with the Yakima County Sheriff's Search and Rescue K-9 Team.  My K-9 partner Nadia and I look for lost people in the woods.

I am so excited to work at McClure Elementary, the best school in Yakima!  I love our Dual Language program, and I know that it is the greatest way for ALL of our students to learn both English and Spanish.  My goal is for my students to become bi-literate by the time they go to Middle School.  It is a priviledge to work with your child, and I believe that teachers and parents are partners in the education of children.  We work best when we work TOGETHER!

 A TIP FROM MRS. LISLE:

Do you have trouble with your child tattling on others--siblings, family or friends?  Try this trick that I use in the classroom, it is sure to work for you.  We have a crocodile puppet in our classroom named Coco, and I tell them that Coco loves to listen to all the tattles we have.  I simply put Coco in a place they can access, and when they need to tattle, they go talk to Coco!  I have taught them the difference between a tattle and something that they really need to tell the teacher (an emergency, someone is sick or bleeding, etc. ) and this really cuts down on the tattling problem.
