THE MUSTANG TELEGRAPH
WE TAKE
CARE
OF OURSELVES.
WE TAKE
CARE
OF EACH OTHER.
WE TAKE
CARE
OF THIS PLACE
Dear Moms, Dads and other Important People in our children’s lives:
Welcome to 2009-2010 school year and thank you for your children.
This is the first issue of the McClure Mustang Newsletter, our weekly one page newsletter that you will receive every Thursday.
Sarah Brown, Librarian, Kristen McClavey, parent, Debbie Fickel, copier, and Ana Villaseñor, Translator, team up to produce each edition.
The school house, our most expensive teaching tool, is looking rather shiny thanks to Dan Gordan, Leonard Livingston, Kevin Kirby and Mike Boseck.
A lot of “important stuff” is sent home at the start of school that will require a little time to read and discuss with your student(s).
Some of the information requires a parent and/or student signature and needs to be returned to school.
As teachers and parents, we will need to rely on our students taking responsibility for delivering information home or to school (Snuffy Mail).
The following are examples of materials we will send home for your attention right away.
- Emergency Information:
It is critical that this information be kept up-to-date.
Ask Jay in our office about Family Access if you would like to do this on-line.
- 21st Century Registration Sheet: Our grant requires that our families complete the registration form even though they may not intend to participate in the program.
It is important to our students that we maintain this grant.
- Student Insurance Information:
If you need the information in Spanish, please call the school @ 573-1300.
- School Pictures:
Information on picture day and packages available for purchase.
- Student/Parent Handbook:
The handbook has revisions each year.
We ask parents and students to read and discuss the information.
A signature sheet will accompany the handbook for parents and students to acknowledge they have read and understand the school guidelines.
- Free or Reduced Lunch Form:
A form must be completed each year for a family.
Meal prices have changed.
They are listed on the menus that go home.
Breakfast:
Student Paid = $1.25
Reduced = No charge
Adults = $2.25 w. milk
Lunch:
Student Paid = $2.00
Reduced = $.40 for 4th & 5th, no charge for K-3.
Adult = $3.25
Individual milk = $.40
