Dear Parents and Students,
Summer is over and I hope that everyone had a fun, safe and relaxing break! Time to get back to work! Our Springfield A.L.I.V.E. class will hit the ground running. Our woodshop, kitchen and sewing room will be open and we will be working on items to offer for sale to the public. As always, we will continue to work hard on our high school state standards and I.E.P. goals. Please continue watching the website or contacting me to learn about additional projects that we will embark upon for the 2010/2011 school year. Paperdrives, Community Projects, Volunteer Events and possibly trying to grow some vegetables indoors and out. We have an exciting year ahead of us!
Springfield A.L.I.V.E. would like to welcome Mrs. Martha Staples and her Aide Mrs. Laura Krise to the E.D. program. They will be joining us for our vocational classes and we welcome them and their students.
GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.! As part of our community service projects in 2009/2010, Springfield A.L.I.V.E. sent boxes of supplies to our Marines in Afghanistan. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT!! Greg Kelly graduated from Springfield last year and just returned home from the Middle East. Please keep all of our troops in your thoughts and prayers. Greg's brother, Michael Smith, is in our unit and he worked hard helping collect, package and cart boxes home on the bus to get supplies to Greg and his comrades.(His mother too!!) Keep checking this website for information on future collections!
GO BUCKS!! We have added a "Brutus" stencil option for your scarlet and gray games. When ordering, specify the OSU option. Mini" cornhole games can still be ordered for $30. They are built at 1/4th the size of official ACA (American Cornhole Association) games. The tiny bags are filled with aquarium rock to provide a little more weight. Please see the attached order form or contact me for details.
As always if you have any questions or just want to keep in touch, feel free to call me. My home number is included below.
God Bless you as we relax a little before we get ready to start another great year of learning! See you in August!
Miss Wright
