Outdoor Education was GREAT! The students had some great experiences. If you have photos to share, send them in on a disk by Thursday. Anyone who would like a copy of Miss Droppleman's or my (or people who share) photos, send in a blank disk and I will copy the photos for you. Please send your disk by Friday, May 28th.

Social Studies Update
Our final units of study will include Asia and Latin America.
As with the previous region study, we will be focusing upon geography as well as cultural aspects. We will learn about the religions of the area, governments, economies and social issues. At this point in the year we are trying to "put it all together" so what we are learning makes sense to the kids in the REAL world.
Online Gradebook
I will be scheduling time at the beginning of computer lab for my homeroom students to check their grades and complete a grade sheet each week. Please look for these slips on Fridays.
The slips will be taped into the agendas.
Please sign when you check your child's agenda. It is our hope that our students will use this weekly check to make sure no assignments are missing and to think about their progress. If you have changed your password, please let the child know so he/she can log in.
GO SPARTANS!
Students need to bring their textbook, a spiral notebook and a social studies folder to class each day in addition to their basics (pencils, agenda, take-home folder, silent reading book and language arts booklet). Grades will be determined by written assignments, participation, tests and quizzes.
I keep a daily list of assignments/activities in a binder near the front of the room. If your child is absent, please remind him/her to check the absent work book for a description of what they missed. I hang any handouts students need on the bulletin board. It is very important for students to realize that they need to check the book for the entire lesson. I will happily answer questions and clarify assignments, but I expect students to check the books for the information I provide. Stay healthy if you can. If you have any questions, or concerns, please contact me at (330)798-1007 ext. 545730.

. Make sure to check this site often for important updates or sign up to "Be Notified" so you'll know when there's something new!
Students need to be using their assignment book every day. Please ask to see it at home and insist that assignments be recorded. Please check agendas daily.
