March I guess we could all agree that it is time for spring to arrive! Hopefully it will soon. We are finally seeing an end to our energy unit. This means another common assessment coming up! This test will be on Thursday, March 4th. I will be doing a review on Wednesday. As always, I have added the power points I use in class to this web page so you can download them if you wish. We will be covering the energy, heat, heat transfer, electromagnetic and light power points. Students are always welcome to take home their notebooks as well. Next week we will begin the unit on the universe. We begin by studying our own planet Earth, then move to the moon, sun and beyond. The focus is on how the movement of the earth, moon and solar system affects us and our lives. Watch for updates! Please note: conferences are being scheduled for Thursday, March 4th; if you are interested, call the school to arrange for a time, or return the form that has been sent home with the students.
A note: I have the students use 'white boards' in class frequently so I can check on their progress quickly and without having to waste paper; however, this means they need white board markers. Several of the students do not have them; they just use paper, instead, but I know many of them would like to use the boards, so it would be great if they could have markers of their own. I do have them available for sale (50 cents, my cost) if you do not want the bother of purchasing them yourself. Thanks for your help.
