Classroom Standards
Once you enter the classroom, you may NOT leave the room unless given permission
You will be expected to follow all school rules in the classroom
There will be NO gum, food, or drink in the classroom
Speak and act respectfully to all others at all times. (This means, don’t be a fool!)
Consequences will be determined as needed.
They may consist of a verbal warning, office referrals, parental contact, or point reductions
You will be allowed 3 tardies per nine weeks.
Four or more tardies will result in lost points.
Expectations
Be to class on time
Complete all assignments
Come prepared to class (spiral notebook, folder, paper, pencil, eraser, pen)
Grades will be taken from the following assignments:
In-class assignments
Daily bell quizzes
Notebook checks
Lab activities
Homework
Tests
Required Supplies
Pen, pencil, paper, spiral notebook, and folder
Note:
There is a lab fee of $5.00, which is to be paid in the office
Daily Bell Quizzes
These are a major part of your grade!
Daily quizzes will cover fundamental material from the previous day
Upon entering the classroom, you are to sit down and begin working on the quiz
The quicker you get to class, the more time you will have to work!
Homework
These will help you prepare for tests!
Some assignments will be graded, while others will just be checked off
If you need help, please ask!
Homework is to help your grade!
In-class Assignments
These are very similar to homework assignments
They are to be worked on IN class
Tests
Tests formats will vary (multiple choice, true/false, matching, diagrams, etc.)
Reviews will be held the day before the test
Test format and length will be discussed ahead of time
Notebook Checks
It is mandatory not only to have a spiral notebook in class, but class notes must also be kept on a daily basis.
Notebooks will be checked for a grade at least twice a grading period.
