MathForward Program

Our math class has been selected to participate in collaboration with Texas Instruments to provide an enhanced learning experience for 6th grade mathematics. The program focuses on enriching mathematical understanding through the use of graphing technology, in-classroom networks and daily problem solving. Students participate in daily lessons where they must communicate solutions, apply content, and connect mathematical models to abstract concepts. These experiences are carefully aligned to the state content standards.

Don't forget to bring in your 8 AAA batteries for the calculators.

Math Corrections
       Students are able to improve any homework or quiz grade by doing corrections.  I recommend that students do corrections on a regular basis. It will improve their grades, as well as, give them a better understanding of math.

Interims will go home on September 24, 2009. In the interest of conserving paper, we are only sending home printouts to students who are receiving a D or F in a subject. You may view your child's grades at any time by logging into the online gradebook. Report Cards for the 1st Quarter will go home on October 30, 2009!  Please return the envelope signed.  If you have any questions regarding the interim or report card, feel free to contact me.
