About Ms. Wood
Ms. Wood is originally from Evansville, Indiana, where she lived from birth until the day she graduated "The Oldest High School in continuous operation west of the Allegheny Mtns", Evansville Central High School (Class of 99). More than simply a proud math & band "nerd", she moved to St. Louis in 2000, after a year in Pittsburgh, where she played NCAA Women's Ice Hockey. Along with playing more hockey in Missouri, she sought and obtained a bachelors of science in mathematics and web design certificate from Webster University in Webster Groves, Mo. Following graduation in May 2003, she briefly attempted to live the life of a graduate mathematics student at Washington University, until the world of education started calling. She completed her teaching certificate at UMSL in May 2005, and finished her Masters of Secondary Education in May 2008.
