Biology Honors Course Description
This course is designed for students who understand the scientific method and are able to conduct experiments and complete projects in cooperative groups.
There will be an emphasis on higher order thinking skills.
Units of study will include ecology, cellular processes, genetics and animal anatomy and physiology.
The history of life on Earth and classifying organisms will also be studied.
Honors Biology Homework
week of 3/30 - return from spring break - Genetic Disorders Projects Due and will be presented. Unit Test on Biotechnology will be Thursday. History of Life unit will be started Friday
Week of 4/6 - History of Life unit
Ecology Homework
Week of 3/30 - return from spring break - Finish up the Three Gorges Dam assignment and continue working on the Energy unit topics
Week of 4/6 - Test over Energy Unit
Zoology Homework
Week of 3/30 - return from spring break - finish up the invertebrates and test over the unit on Wednesday. Vertebrate unit will be started on Thursday
Week of 4/6 - Students will start the Fishes Class and complete a pre-lab for the perch dissection
