Welcome to Miss Sugg's Class Web Page!  Miss Sugg's super star students have been working hard in first grade.

 

   

 

 

 

   

  

   

 

 

                 Check out the flashcards section of the webpage.  You can find flashcards for all of our sight words and the weekly spelling words.  These are a great way to help your child practice reading and spelling words.

 

             Looking for patterns in words and sounding out words are important strategies used by  beginning readers to read unknown words.  I have added flashcards for the long vowels.  Reading these words is good practice for sounding out words and looking for patterns in words. 

 

HOMEWORK

Reading:  Please read with your child 15 minutes every night and record the titles on the book log.
