To the parents and students attending Leisure City K-8 Center I want to send a special thank you for the hard work and effort that you have put in with your child in preparation for the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test(FCAT), or Stanford Achievement Test(SAT 10) and the 2005-2006 school year as a whole. I am proud to announce that Leisure Cityhas been recognized as a "B" school for the '05-'06 school year. However, a new year is upon us and regardless of the school grade given to Leisure City K-8 Center, the most important point is that our students, teachers, staff, and families truly put forth their maximum effort in taking advantage of the tutorial opportunities provided by the school, and the District. That being said, parents I want to remind everyone that our work here is not done; there is still room for improvement when it comes to the educating of students. The school will continue to place high expectations on itself and its students to perform at a very high level. I strongly encourage parents to push the envelope with their children with regards to reading on a daily basis. Readingis one of the fundamental building blocks that all students need to accomplish academic success. In closing I want to wish everyone a successful and exciting beginning to our new school year. I am confident that with everyone's hard work and cooperation Leisure City K-8 Center will continue its progress towards achieving the overall goal of becoming an "A" school.
