Valentine's Day Celebration takes place Friday, Feb. 12. No school Monday, Feb. 15 (President's Day). We will do the morning announcements Feb. 16 - Feb. 19

Homework:    Monday:   Write your spelling words TEN – 5 - times each!

                       Thursday:   Write your spelling words in ABC order forwards and backwards.

                                           Make Vocabulary Flashcards.

 

LANGUAGE SKILL:  Students must be able to correctly edit a wrong sentence. (capitalization/punctuation)

MATH SKILL: Students must know that 3-d figures have vertices (corners), edges, surfaces,

                             surfaces it has. They must also know the name of each 3-dimensional shape.

 

SCIENCE SKILLS:   Students will identify different body parts on living things and know their function.

SOCIAL STUDIES:   Students will study important Americans (Black History Month)

Your child is expected to know each word and use the book to answer comprehension questions about the story. Questions include main idea, what happens in the beginning, middle and end, supporting details, main character and setting (when and where the story takes place).
