Dear Parents,

 

I am honored to have your child in my class this year.   The students have been delightful so far, and I hope this continues to be a great experience for everyone.   At the bottom of this page is a link that will open a Word document letter I sent home with your child.  It over views such things as assignments, grading, attendance, and daily schedules.   Please, refer to it in order to familiarize yourself with the curriculum, routines, and expectations in kindergarten this year.   Read the information carefully.   I will be happy to talk with you or answer any questions.

 

 

Classroom Management

       Classroom Rules:

          1.     Follow Directions (the first time given)

          2.    Keep hands, feet, and all objects to yourself

          3.    Be kind and respectful to everyone

          4.    Raise your hand and wait to be call 

          5.    Work and play together

          6.    Complete work on time

          Rewards:

  • Verbal praises
  • Stamps/Stickers
  • Positive notes/sunshine calls to parents  
  • Treasures/Prizes from the Treasure Chest

Consequences:

1st time student breaks the rule – Warning

2nd     “                                    “     - 5 minutes away from the group

3rd       “                                    “     - 10 minutes away from the group ("green" card change to "yellow")

4th     “                                    “     - Call parents ("yellow" card change to "red")

5th     “                                    “     - Send to principal
