The students will be saying the Ashford Creed every morning with the morning announcements. It goes as follows:
We will go to college.
We will succeed.
This is our motto; this is our creed.
Ashford Eagles are number one!
We think learning's lots of fun!
I would like for my students to be reading nightly for at least 30 minutes a night. I am going to be introducing to them B*E*A*R* which stands for "BE EXCITED ABOUT READING"!! So every time I grab a bear in the classroom or you grab a bear at home that means it is time to sit down and read. Reading is very crucial to their education. It is something they use on a daily basis in more than one aspect. So please for your child's sake sit down and read with them to make sure they are getting the assistance they need and are really understanding what they are reading. After completing a reading activity ask them questions about what they read. This is helpful in seeing what they are comprehending!!!
