Welcome to the Resource Room!
I am Mrs. Brenda Manning the Resource teacher here at St. Mary's Visitation School. I hold an undergraduate degree from Illinois State University in Elementary Education with a Reading minor. When I moved to Wisconsin I continued my education and obtained my 316 Reading Teacher license. I am currently working toward my Master's in Reading and will graduate in Spring 2010.
While this is only my third year at St. Mary's, I have taught for more than 12 years. In addition to being a Resource teacher, I have been a Title I Reading teacher, and taught 4K, 5K, and 6th grade. When not in the classroom, I enjoy reading, biking, and spending time with my husband and four children!
I look forward to working with your children each day! Our Resource program here is based on the individual needs of each student. Following the principles of best practice, my goal is to help each student integrate the skills he or she needs to become successful, independent learners.
