Yes indeed, I'm back from my trip to Florida. I wanted to share a picture of the former "Casey" girls cruising on the gulf. I kept calling it the ocean but my older and wiser (Ha-Ha) sister said it's the gulf. If you are planning to venture to Florida over Easter, and you are staying on the gulf side, don't call it the ocean. That's a no-no! Also, if anyone wants to know the secret to getting a tan while in Florida you only need to look at my legs to realize I'm not the one to ask.
Remember how I have a where's Winnie section on my classpage? Okay, which one is Winnie? The parent that guesses correctly gets a week with this group next year. Any takers?

FYI
I have two parents that have graciously volunteered to do the fish prints. This is truly hands-on science. Open the gills, feel the scales, touch the fins, smell the fragrance. Thank you Mrs. Borino and Mrs. Lund for being part of our exploration into the world of FISH. You may never eat a fish fry again! We will be painting the fish on Tuesday, March 9 at 8AM.
I still need a few baby pictures and their measurement at birth. Please send ASAP.
Thank you Mrs. Mueller for volunteering to chaperone our field trip to the play on March 12. A K5 mother will also be coming along to help on our trip.
Something new this year----------Watch for a homework folder coming home this week. Don't panic! This is merely reinforcement for things we're already doing in class. Believe it or not, K4 actually likes homework. Look for a letter of explanation in this folder. This should be a fun project, not more work for the child and parent.
Mrs. Canfield said that Robby's Presentation of the letter "P" was Perfect! His letter looked good enough to eat. He had Pictures of Pizza, Popcorn, Prezels, and Pancakes. Did I mention he did this in his Pajamas?

Johnny was our Top Dog.

Grandma came in and read a story to the class.

Johnny's uncle came in and had a few pancakes with the class. I wasn't there so I didn't notice if he was a waiter or a customer. Mrs. Kileen will let me know if he was worth his weight in pancakes.

How cute can you be?

Johnny's dad came in and read a story. If you've ever talked to Johnny's dad, you'll know that he has the best voice ever! He could work for Ernie Von Schledorn selling cars. I would buy from him because his voice sounds very honest and knowledgeable. (Is there such a word?) I'm sure the class was sitting at attention.

It was "P" week and Pajama Day while I was in Florida. The class enjoyed pancakes in the teachers lounge. Thank you Mrs. Kileen, Mrs. Larson, Dr. Fuller, and Mrs. Stewart for making this day soooo special.

"P" is for Post Office.
Meka and Brendan----Could they be any cuter?

Ima was looking for a heartbeat. I know for a fact that this Patient was saved!

This month we will begin to explore the Ocean. We will talk about fish and shells. I will need a couple of parents to come in and help us make fish prints. Yes, we really will be painting on the top of real fish. Okay parents---the fish are dead. You can do this. I'm looking at next Tuesday, March 9 to bring in my catch. Let me know if you'd like to help.
I still need photos of my class as infants. Don't forget to send their length at birth.
I am in need of straws for the lunch bunch. We give the full day students straws with their milk. If you're going to the store this week, please consider picking up a bag of straws to share with the class.
I'm still waiting for permission slips and money for our field trip. Please send ASAP.
