We have several children’s books we will be looking through searching for commonalities among young children’s’ books.
We will use the 6 traits writing to create stories to share with our second grade buddies.
In grammar, in an effort to cement our knowledge of the parts of speech, we have been watching the classic “Schoolhouse Rock” videos.
Students will be put in groups of 2 and given a part of speech and asked to come up with a fun and creative way to show their understanding of their part of speech.
They can do something similar to the schoolhouse rock videos, or something else (poster, board game, etc).
This will be strictly an in-class activity.
