Track and Field St. Luke’s Episcopal School Congradulations on a great year.
TIGER TRACK
Welcome Tigers. As coach I try to pass on my love of running. In high school a back surgery knocked me out of playing football so my track coach convinced me to train with the cross country team to stay in shape. I unwillingly did so but I loved it. I only ran my Jr. and senior year but by my senior year I was 14th in the region. I continued to run in college for UTSA. After another back surgery and a blown knee I finally had to hang up my running shoes but my passion is still alive. So I pass the torch to the next generation of runners. All students who sign up to run for St. Luke's cross country or track will be on the team. Team selection for each meet is based on attendance, effort and attitude.
Practices
All practices are mandatory
A student not going to a meet is expected to practice with the team to make the next meet.
If a student has 4 unexcused absences from practice they can no longer work out with the team or compete for that season.
If a student is to miss practice, the coach must be informed ahead of time by email.
Track & Field Cross-Country meets
As a representatice of St. Luke's Episcopal the students at the meet are to stay around base camp and exemplify the St. Luke's Way at all times.
The team attending the meet is expected to stay with the team and support all St. Luke's participants through out the entire meet.
