Unit of Study: Ocean and Summer
May 26-29, 2009
This week we will continue to learn about ocean animals. We will also be learning about the season of summer. Some of the skills we will be working on are: identifying ocean animals, classifying items into summer and winter, identifying the characteristics of the season of summer and numeral recognition 1-6.
Activities that we will do are "rock" lobster, summer/winter sort, watermelon seed counting, hermit crab, and starfish.
Some of the books we will read are Mister Sea Horse, Summer, Down by the Bay, Ten Little Fish and A House for Hermit Crab.
All library books were due on May 22. Please return the books as soon as possible.
The end of the year party will be on the pavilion located on our playground on Tuesday, June 2 at 9:40. All parents are welcome.
Closing ceremony will be on Wednesday, June 3 at 9:00 in the church. Children may leave after the closing or stay until 11:30. No backpacks are needed on that day.
