The 8th grade students will be receiving their Course Recommendations for Pomperaug High School third quarter.  The 8th grade teachers put much thought into the appropriate placement for your child's high school success.  Students are receiving this information the week of February 22nd in their guidance classes.  Referred to as their Course Selection Sheets, students need to review these recommendations with you;  your signature as well as theirs is required before returning them to MMS by March 1st. They will need to choose two credits of electives for next year. Please note that a world language is one credit. This has been explained to them.  The PHS Course Catalog is posted on the PHS website under Guidance/Career.  Students are encouraged to read the descriptions of classes offered before choosing electives.   Students will enter this information into the computer during guidance classes so that schedules can be generated for next year.  The schedules will be mailed from PHS.  When available, the catalogs will be distributed in hard copy.
